Pre-Exam Readiness Check Step 2: Install Safe Exam Browser

In order to sit the FIFA Football Agent Exam, you must install Safe Exam Browser to the laptop or personal computer that you plan to use on exam day.  Safe Exam Browser is a secure browser that locks your system to prevent access to unauthorised resources during the exam.  Use of Safe Exam Browser is required for all FIFA Football Agent Exams.

If you already have Safe Exam Browser installed, please ensure the version meets our published minimum specifications.  If not, please uninstall and choose one of the options below.

Some general troubleshooting tips to try if you are having issues with downloading and installing Safe Exam Browser are:

  • Check your personal computer or laptop meets the required minimum specifications for installation of Safe Exam Browser.
  • Check your personal computer or laptop is connected to the internet.
  • Check that a download of Safe Exam Browser is not already in progress on your device.
  • Check that you have allowed Safe Exam Browser to install and run in any security software or firewall used by your computer or network.
  • Click this link to download Safe Exam Browser to your laptop or PC.
  • A file named SEBWindows.exe should appear in your Downloads folder.
  • Double click on SEBWindows.exe to start installation, and follow the on screen instructions.
  • Once installed you should see the Safe Exam Browser icon on your desktop, or when you search for Safe Exam Browser on your laptop or PC.

  • Click this link to download Safe Exam Browser.
  • Click Allow when asked if you wish to allow downloads.
  • A file named SEBMac.dmg should appear in your Downloads folder.
  • Double-click the file to open it. A new window will appear, similar to inserting a USB drive.
  • In the new window, you will see the Safe Exam Browser application icon. Click and drag the application icon into the Applications folder.
  • If you have previously installed Safe Exam Browser you may received a pop us asking you if you wish to replace the existing copy.  Please select Replace.
  • Once installed you should see the Safe Exam Browser icon in your Applications folder, or when you search for Safe Exam Browser within your Applications.

A.  You can either:

Launch Safe Exam Browser and note the version number displayed on the loading screen

or

Windows: Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > Safe Exam Browser

Mac: Go to Finder > Applications > Safe Exam Browser

Windows

Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > Safe Exam Browser > Choose Uninstall

You should also open File Explorer and manually delete the Safe Exam Browser folder from these locations (you may need to unhide hidden files/folders):

  • C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local
  • C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\LocalLow
  • C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\ (or C:\Program Files\)

We would also suggest deleting any previous downloads or configuration files from your Downloads folder.

Mac

Applications folder > Safe Exam Browser > Right click > Choose Move to Trash
