Pre-Exam Readiness Check Step 8: Test screenshare

On exam day, your invigilator will ask you to share your screen, so they can monitor your on screen activity during the exam.

Some general troubleshooting tips to try if you are having issues with screensharing are:

  • Close any other programmes that may be using screenshare currently (like Teams, Zoom etc)
  • Try to restart your computer and start the PERC again
  • Check your device’s settings and ensure that you have given Safe Exam Browser access to screensharing.

A.  After clicking Test Screenshare, a pop up will appear in the top right hand corner of the screen.  You should also select Share Entire Screen to continue.

A.  After clicking Test Screenshare within Step 8 of the Pre-Exam Readiness Check, you should be able to see what is being currently displayed on your monitor within the test widget as a live video feed.  If you move your cursor, this movement should be reflected within the widget.
