Pre-Exam Readiness Check Step 5: Test your webcam

Return to FIFA Support homepage

Your invigilator will need to be able to view you through both your laptop or computer’s webcam and via the camera on your smartphone on exam day.

Try the following general troubleshooting steps below if you are unable to share or see your webcam.

  • Check your webcam cover is not closed
  • Close any other programmes that may be using your webcam (like Teams, Zoom etc)
  • Try to restart your computer and start the PERC again

A. Follow these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Close Safe Exam Browser by clicking the QUIT icon in the bottom right hand corner and entering QUIT password QUIT2804.
  2. Open another programme that uses your webcam and verify that the webcam is working.
  3. If the camera is not working, this indicates there may be an issue with your camera. You will need to find a replacement device (external webcams are permitted) and then restart the Pre-Exam Readiness Check.
  4. If the camera is working in another programme, you should close that programme, and restart your laptop/computer. You should then reattempt the Pre-Exam Readiness Check in full.
  5. Check your device’s settings and ensure that you have given Safe Exam Browser access to your webcam.

If after following these steps, the issue is not resolved please contact VICTVS Support for further assistance using the Live Chat icon shown on this page, or contact us here.

A.  This indicates your camera is connected to the session. Please check that your webcam is not obstructed in any way (such as with a cover).
